...an (eek!) year has passed and (oh my...) we've moved to another country!
But we only just moved, I swear. No boxes are even unpacked yet or anything. Here is my honest attempt to brave the mosquitoes & the chilly evening air of Antigua, Guatemala and finally, FINALLY get back to an important activity that I actually do like; updating friends & family who I really do love.
As I type, I am sitting outside by the garden in the, formerly known as, Lutheran Center...
a strikingly beautiful, 120 year old hacienda (um...plantation home? Still hopin' and prayin' for those language classes... :) . This building and the surrounding grounds are home to a new base for Potter's Field Ministries, and we are blessed and honored to get to start a new PF Kids program here in the upcoming weeks.
A journey without adventures is likely not a journey worth taking. Our journey while moving from El Salvador to Guatemala was FULL of adventures! Hopefully this means that God is getting ready to use us for some serious ministry opportunities to share His love in this city. In an attempt to share the full joy & hilarity of the past 48 hours, I have written lyrics to the tune of the
Star Spangled Banner:
Oh say can you see, Moving Day is now here, but the moving trucks came almost 5 hours late...
The next morning we left, one truck hit the guards' roof, then all four vehicles went to different Pollo Camperos.
When we're ready to drive, from the back seat Ben cried, "I swallowed a quarter!"
(Randy drove for the border.)
Oh say have you seen our lost truck in Guatemala?
The quarter is out! Fee was higher than Ben can count :)

We've noticed that there are a few places that people can link to our blog. To have this a little more up to date, and if one wants to get up to speed on what God has been and is doing in and through us, we decided to put our newsletters up on our blog. So, here you go, from the latest to the earliest.
Blessings from El Salvador!
