Happy Holidays!

Hey everyone, this is Randy.  We hope and pray that you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's.  We were plenty busy having fun with my folks (in town from California) and traveling to my sisters', aunts', and uncles' homes.  We also had a nasty bug pass through our family that we hope never comes to visit again.  Of course, celebrating Christmas through the eyes of Noah and Ben always brings us great joy. We thank God for sending his Son to Earth so that we have a reason to pause and celebrate. The Savior came to save us.

Thankfully, security was on-hand for the opening of presents

Right before Christmas, Karen and Noah surprised travelers and joined a flash mob choir at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia.  It was truly a surprise and they sounded great.  Check out the video that was posted on Youtube (look for a red cap and a pink scarf!) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bra3KTlt6nk

Well, things are progressing as we endeavor to sort and pack up our house.  God's faithfulness continues to shine forth as we get the word out.  It looks like we have someone interested in one of our cars, and a couple of possible renters for our house - praise God!  So really, the only thing left is raising support...a new and unknown road for us.  Our pastor encourages us all to take on "God-sized challenges" because we can't possibly attack and complete them without giving all the glory to Him.   Each time we encounter a new obstacle, God continually opens doors and asks us to walk through in faith.  Karen and I do not have it all figured out ourselves; the glory is His and His alone.  This doesn't make the preparation easy, but it does keep me on my knees.

As I start to stress about all of the details and plenty of unknowns in the near future, God hit me with a great verse - Joshua 1:9 "The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go".  How comforting.
